Dr Prem Sehmi graduated from the University of Birmingham Dental School in 2003 and has since built a diverse career spanning clinical dentistry, and business. Following the acquisition of a single-handed private practice in Halifax, he embarked on an ambitious growth strategy, building and acquiring a substantial portfolio of practices across the North of England. As his commercial interests expanded, Prem transitioned from clinical practice into business leadership, focusing on innovation and product development. In 2009, Prem founded the Academy of Clinical Excellence (ACE), which was the first private postgraduate dental training facility in the UK dedicated to delivering hands-on clinical education for dental professionals. The academy rapidly gained recognition for raising standards in postgraduate dental training and has since educated thousands of clinicians from across the UK and internationally. Today, Prem s Chief Executive Officer of BDS Laboratory, Quick Straight Teeth, Magic-Trix, and Boutique Whitening, overseeing a diverse portfolio of businesses that continue to serve the dental professions. Outside of dentistry, he also leads successful property development, construction, and management companies. His most notable achievement is Boutique Whitening, a brand he developed into one of the world’s leading professional teeth-whitening systems. Boutique has evolved into a truly global organisation, with operations spanning Europe and Australia and distribution across four continents and 26 countries. Trusted by thousands of dental professionals and used by millions of patients worldwide, the brand has become synonymous with clinical excellence and outstanding patient outcomes. Prem regularly lectures throughout the UK and Europe on dental entrepreneurship, business strategy, leadership, and practice growth.
